This week on the Land & Legacy podcast, Kyle is joining us! Kyle Hedges and Frank Loncarich have joined our team and are here to extend their knowledge and broaden the information that our company can provide. Not only are they passionate deer hunters but they have years of experience as land managers under their belt. Kyle is going to discuss with us the long history of managing his family farm in southeast Kansas. He will be taking us back to the early '90s when it all began.
Kyle focuses on the landscape and what is best for the habitat and that will ultimately improve his hunting. This part of Kansas is made up of mixed grasslands and woodlands which is different from the Ozark Mountains here in southern Missouri. Kyle is working hard to improve the land by enrolling acres into CRP, doing prescribed fire, managing woodlands with timber stand improvement and bedding thickets, and his work is proving to be successful! Throughout the years of his habitat management, Kyle has been able to experience more successful hunts by increasing his carrying capacity.
Kyle is not only a quail biologist, but he is also a habitat consultant who is ready to help you with your property!
